Harley Holloman was watching the family dog, Angel Baby, through the front window of their home when police showed up. He said she was using the bathroom on their property.
“I think they called them for pinning them, but she wasn't,” said Holloman. “She's a nice dog. She likes kids and everything. She won't hurt no one. She won't.”
“They have the right to do that if it becomes necessary, and, trust me, that's the last resort,” Whitner said. “We don't want to hurt anyone's animals, we don't want to be bit ourselves and we don't want our employees to be subject to that kind of action.”
This is the second time the dog is accused of acting in a violent way toward people. Whitner said the dog was also shot after she tried to bite a probation officer a few months ago.
“It’s unfortunate, but these officers have got to be able to take care of themselves, and that’s what it’s about,” Whitner said.
Owner Emiley Burgess said her dog was on a leash that time.
“She just pulled the trigger and didn’t think twice about it and shot her in the back of the left leg,” said Burgess.
She wasn’t home at the time of the alleged attack, but claims her dog was just trying to protect the family.
“She wouldn’t even hurt a fly. I know a lot of dog owners say that, that their dog wouldn’t harm anyone, she really is like a human child,” said Burgess.
According to Burgess, her dog was shot twice in the right eye and injured on her left arm. She is recovering but will likely have to have her right eye removed.
Burgess was charged with violating a local ordinance of allowing her dog run at large.

Good grief! WHY is this freaking mauler still alive? Two attacks were not enough? The stupid dog should get a third try to kill someone??! I really hope it's the owner on the receiving end of her "wouldn't hurt a fly" pit.
