This is Gracie. She is a fourteen year old Jack Russell Terrier who was viciously attacked by another dog at Presque Isle State Park at approximately 3:30 PM on 8/27/17.

The other dog appeared to be a gray pit bull / pit bull mix with white markings, who was with a man and a woman and two other large dogs. This dog was OFF LEASH, ran at Gracie from many yards away, knocked her over, and clamped down on her back, puncturing her skin, creating several contaminated wounds and bad bruising.

THIS DOG COULD HAVE KILLED MY DOG, AND I NEED TO FIND AND SPEAK WITH THESE PEOPLE.

I did not see the woman up close. The man was middle aged, medium height, stocky but not obese, with graying hair, glasses. The dog who attacked Gracie was one of three with this couple.

After Anthony and I were able to pry this dog's jaws off of our dog (which was VERY DIFFICULT) the man made it over to us. Gracie had been pried loose from his dog's jaws and ran off. Getting to her was our primary concern and I did not have the time or wherewithal to get his name or contact info. He did apologize, but I need to speak with these people.

PLEASE help me find them by sharing this post.
