Texas: Boston Terrier named Otis nearly mauled to death by neighbor's Pit Bulls

TEXAS -- On December 6, 2016, the day after my sister's birthday, she rescued a little Boston Terrier who she named Otis. Otis had been abandoned, and judging by how skittish he was, he was also probably abused. Otis slowly became accustomed to us and got comfortable living in our home.

On Friday, August 18, 2017, Otis was outside with our other dog, Georgia, when our neighbor's pit bull and pit bull mix got loose and attacked him.

Otis had two deep puncture wounds on his chest and another very deep one on his left shoulder blade. Otis was laying outside barely breathing and gushing blood when we got to him. It really didn't look like Otis would make it.

After the initial shock wore off, Otis' breathing began to regulate a bit, but he couldn't get up, and he was in a lot of pain. We did our best to stop the bleeding, but his wounds were pretty severe.

My sister and I managed to get Otis onto a board, put him in the car, and take him to a veterinarian in Juarez. We really want Otis to get better, and he is slowly improving, but he will need surgery. Money is really tight right now, but we don't want to give up on Otis' recovery, so we are asking if you could find it in your heart to help save the life of this poor little dog, any amount will help!

Any and all proceeds left will be donated to Animal Services of El Paso, so we can help other animals in need. Thank you all so much for reading and donating!

LOOK WHO IS HOME EVERYONE!!!
Otis and I would like to thank every single person who shared his Go Fund Me campaign and every single person who donated to his cause.

Otis is doing much better but he isn't out of the woods yet. His wounds still need to heal completely and take antibiotics since he is still at risk for infection.

Thankfully he is back home where he was greatly missed and worried about!
Once again, THANK YOU ALL FROM THE VERY BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS!!!
