(September 2017) Massachusetts: Boston Terrier named Milo in his own yard when he's suddenly attacked by Pit Bull

MASSACHUSETTS -- Kayti Sedlock posted on Facebook — feeling heartbroken. September 29, 2017 ·

My heart is broken ๐Ÿ’”. My sweet little pup was attacked by a pit bull yesterday in his own yard.

... Took Milo to the vet yesterday. They cleaned up his wounds and gave him some meds to make him more comfortable. They found some more damage that we weren't aware of, though. His gums are severely cut up, and one of his teeth is dislodged.

We have to bring him back today so they can sedate him and fix him up. This will also give them the opportunity to check for any more tissue damage.

... Milo just woke up from surgery and he's doing well. He had over 40 stitches inside his mouth to close up the wounds where the other dog cut him up. He also lost 3 teeth. He has several deep cuts on the outside of his face that went clear through, so another 20 stitches there. The doctor said he's lucky to be alive.

...  He's really shaken and depressed, and his poor little face is all cut up and swollen ๐Ÿ˜ข

My wonderful, sweet, and gentle puppy Milo has to have emergency surgery today. This is the third vet visit he's had in 3 days, and they've found more damage than we originally thought. Please keep our little guy in your prayers ๐Ÿถ

Mark Girouard - Were you able to identify the owner of the other dog?

Kayti Sedlock - Yes, it's the next door neighbor's. The dog is going to be quarantined.
