NEW YORK -- An investigation by the Ontario County Humane Society has resulted in charges against a 27 year old Farmington man.
The Humane Society received a complaint about a dog that was locked inside of a shed on Third Street and could be heard barking by neighbors.
It was determined a 4 year old Pit bull belonging to Marcos F. Perez was locked inside of a 37 degree shed without food or water for two days.
The dog, named Blade, was found inside a wire metal cage without any bottom, bedding or insulation that was filled with feces.
Perez was charged with failure to provide sustenance to a confined animal and cruelty to an animal.
The Humane Society is providing care to Blade.
