Cat allegedly killed by neighbor's dog

CAPE CORAL, FL -- A Cape Coral man contacted police after his neighbor's dog killed his cat, according to Cape Coral Police reports.

The report states Stanley Lindo woke around 4 a.m. and said he heard noises that sounded like his cat was being attacked.

Lindo went outside his home at 914 SW 37th Terrace and saw a black and brown dog attacking his cat, reports said.

Lindo said the dog had his cat in its jaws and ran away with the cat. He tried searching for the dog and cat, but couldn't find them.

At 7 a.m., Lindo went outside and found his cat dead in the front yard of his neighbor's house. He called police for help.

Lee County Animal Control and Cape Coral Police responded to the scene.
