Friendswood owner cited after dog attack

TEXAS -- Friendswood police issued citations to the owner of a Bull Terrier after the dog attacked a woman and her 7-year-old Boxer on Friday near the intersection of Royal Parkway and Barcelona.

The incident occurred at about 9 a.m. The woman suffered a puncture wound to her left hand, and the extent of the boxer’s injuries were not known at the time of this report, Friendswood Police Officer Lisa Price said in a report.
A resident came out of a nearby home and brought the Boxer inside while police and animal control were en route.

The bull terrier is being quarantined at the Friendswood Animal Shelter for 10 days, Price said. The person who had care, custody and control of the dog was issued citations for dog at large and no proof of rabies vaccination.
