Boy injured in pit bull attack

LOUISIANA -- A 12-year-old boy was bit on the hand by a pit bull Monday night, receiving stitches after being taken to Terrebonne General Medical Center, authorities said.

The boy was bit around 8:15 p.m. at 107 Joaquin Drive in Houma.

The dog's owner, 21-year-old Joshua Thibodeaux, 215 Fresno Drive, was issued a summons for a leash law violation.
