HARTLAND, WI -- A pit bull charged and bit a Hartland man in his back and leg, but the man told police the wounds were not serious, police reports say.
The man was inside a friend's home in the 12900 block of Oriole Lane when the dog charged at him at 8 p.m. Wednesday, he told police.
At first the man declined medical attention, saying there was just a little bleeding but later he decided to drive himself to a hospital to have the wounds checked out, according to reports.
The dog belonged to his friend's grandchildren. Police notified the Elmbrook Humane Society about the bite.
