Pit bull attacks owners, officer kills dog

TEXAS -- Two people were taken an area hospital with severe soft tissue injuries and partial finger amputations after their pit bull attacked them, police say. 

Harker Heights Fire Department and Harker Heights Police Department responded to a call of a domestic disturbance at 615 S. Ann Blvd.  just before 6p.m. Monday.

Upon arrival crews discovered a 37-year-old male and a female with severe soft tissue injuries and partial finger amputations.

The two victims were transported to Scott and White Hospital for medical treatment. Their condition is unknown at this time.

The dog was shot and killed by a responding Harker Height Police Department officer while the animal was still attacking the victims.
