California: Investigation concludes in Pacifica fatal pit bull mauling of owner Darla Napora

CALIFORNIA -- Police have now finished their investigation into the deadly dog mauling of a Pacifica woman. They say they still don't know what caused her pet pit bull to go off.

Darla Napora, 32, died of massive blood loss and shock in August. Officers killed her two-year-old pit bull Gunner, when he escaped from the backyard during their investigation.

Officials say a necropsy on the pit bull didn't turn up any disease or condition that would explain the attack.

The dog was apparently treated like a member of the family and had no history of violence.
