Police on the hunt for a vicious pit bull


VIRGINIA  - Police in Bluefield, Va., are searching for a pit bull who attacked a man Friday.

James Hale was listed in stable condition Friday evening after being mauled by the 100-pound, black and white canine near Crescent View Apartments.

According to Lt PJ Beavers with the Bluefield, VA Police Dept, the 36 year-old man was attacked on a path around 12:15pm on his way to work on a construction project in the area. Beavers said the man was "bleeding profusely" and might have a broken arm.
 [A friend who was interviewed said his arm was horribly mauled and that he might lose the use of his hand]

Police have been searching for the dog since the attack was reported. They say the dog is extremely dangerous.
