MICHIGAN -- A pit bull was shot to death by a Grand Rapids police officer, the second such incident in a month.
The incident occurred Monday morning when a couple of officers were called to a house near Diamond Avenue and E. Fulton Street. A woman was being kept inside her home, threatened by the dog.
The dog was shot when it threatened the officers.
On October 19, a dog described as a pit bull seriously hurt a 14-year-old Grand Rapids boy. An officer shot and killed the dog when it charged.
