Family dog bites child in the face, parents to face charges

ARKANSAS -- Parents of a child bitten in the face by the family pet will face charges of harboring a vicious animal.

According to Jonesboro Animal Control Sgt. Larry Rogers, the attack happened around 5:30 Thursday evening in the 600 block of Bradley Street.  Sgt. Rogers tells Region 8 News that two dogs were shot with tranquilizer darts and captured by Jonesboro Animal Control.

There is no official word on the breed of the dog. 

The condition of the child is not known at this time.
