Pit bull had to be pulled off after attacking girl

SOUTH CAROLINA -- Animal control officials seized a pit bull mix Friday after it bit a 15-year-old Rock Hill girl, causing her to go to the hospital, police say.

Early Friday evening officers were called to Chelveston Drive in Rock Hill, where a mother said her 15-year-old daughter was playing with a friend outside of their home when a pit bull/boxer mix bit her on the neck, according to a Rock Hill police report.

The dog, named Bella, had to be pried off of the teen.

She was treated by York County EMS and taken to Piedmont Medical Center for her injuries, the report states.

York County Animal Control officers took the dog into quarantine, the report states.

The report did not list who owned the dog. An arrest was not made.
