When Carol Miller took her horse, Blue, for a Sunday ride, it began peacefully enough, but what should have been a quiet Sunday morning ride turned into a nightmare. There was no hint of trouble as they approached a pit bull, sitting calmly and quietly at its owner's feet alongside the trail.
