Holland Pit Bull Owner Attacked by Own Dogs

‎MICHIGAN -- A fight among pit bulls in a south side neighborhood could lead to charges for their owner.

Neighbors heard a loud noise coming from a residence in the 100 block of 33rd Street yesterday afternoon and saw the unnamed 26-year-old man attacked by his canines. They helped in getting the dogs off of the victim, and the animals were taken to the Harbor Humane Society’s offices in West Olive for care, while Holland Public Safety officers are investigating the incident.

A third pit bull was found at the residence, which is in violation of the city’s two-dog limit, and could be fined for that, as well as owning violent animals that could lead to forfeiture of the dogs.

There were no reports of any serious injuries suffered by the dogs' owner. The incident remains under investigation.
