Pit bull bites 2-year-old girl in Anaheim park

CALIFORNIA -- A 2-year-old girl was bitten by a pit bull while at Manzanita Park on Thursday afternoon.

The dog's owner, who is a family friend of the girl and her parents, had taken the pit bull off its leash.

Tyler Johnson, the girl's father, said the dog was behaving so aggressively that he had to pick his daughter up and hold her away from the pit bull.

But the dog caught the toddler's leg.

She received a minor cut and was taken to Anaheim Regional Medical Center as a precaution.

Johnson is calling for the dog to be euthanized.

Orange County Animal Control is holding the dog in quarantine for 10 days before deciding if any action is needed.
