Pit bull attacks Sandusky boy

OHIO -- A dog bit a Sandusky boy at least five times Monday in an alley behind Reese Street, according to a police report.

The boy, 12, suffered bites on his chest, arms and legs. He told police he was walking with a friend at about 3 p.m. in the 200 block of Reese Street when they noticed a tan, short-bodied pit bull following close behind.

The dog charged and both boys took off running. It caught up in an instant, however, and bit the boy, who limped to a relative’s home. He was taken to the hospital from there. Police scoured the area and found three pi tbulls in a nearby backyard.

Officers spoke with the owner, who told them she only lets the dogs out one at a time, and even then she watches them closely. Police took pictures of the dogs and took them to the boy at the hospital.

The boy said the suspect dog wasn’t in the lineup.
