Viewer Concerned For Skinny Horses

TEXAS -- ‎A concerned viewer called us today to report a group of horses that appear malnourished in Jim Wells county, just west of Orange Grove.

The viewer, Dan Gunn, said the animals appear to be very thin and frail. Gunn told us that the one horse he believes is at least two years old, but is the size of a six month old.

We spoke with animal control who say they were at the house earlier this morning and spoke with the horses' owners.

The owners also told animal control that they feed the horses twice a day, and believe the animals may be ill and were going to get the horses checked out by a vet.

[The horses "may" be ill and they're "going to" get a vet out there?? How about we stop with the b.s. - they knew the horses were in bad shape and did nothing about it.]

Animal control says they are going to follow up on the horses condition in a few days.
