WASHINGTON -- Teena Winker (aka Teena M Winkler, 47) faces a citation for harboring a vicious dog.
Asotin County Rule Nine Intern Mackenzie Amen said Winker will have the opportunity to defend herself and Kilo in front of a judge next week.
"There's previous reports on this dog, that it has been involved with other instances involving people and other neighborhood dogs," said Amen. "It's a misdemeanor, so she's facing 90-days in jail and a $1,000 fine."
Amen said the prosecutor's office took a 2009 incident into consideration, in which Kilo attacked neighboring dogs. Kilo was shot twice in the leg, after charging and snarling at the officer, resulting in a leg amputation.

A dog that was shot by a Clarkston detective last month was found running at large by Clarkston police Friday.
The pit bull, named Kilo, was discovered near the intersection of 13th and Fair streets, nearly seven blocks from its owner's house on the 400 block of Sixth Street, said Detective Richard Muszynski. The owner, Teena M. Winkler, 47, has already been cited for harboring a biting dog.
