Dog owner arrested after bite from unmuzzled American Bulldog

UNITED KINGDOM -- A man has been arrested after an unmuzzled dog bit a man, who needed hospital treatment.

The American bulldog bit the 52-year-old man on his foot, causing extensive bleeding, at Kentish Town West rail station just before 10pm on Monday.

British Transport Police officers arrested a 26-year-old man from Swiss Cottage on suspicion of having a dog dangerously out of control in a public place.

The victim was taken to the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead, where he needed stitches for his injuries.

The dog will be assessed at a local kennel and the owner has been released on bail.
