Sheila Clemons recently flew all the way from Scottsdale to Indiana to rescue her new dog, Zoe.
Investigators said they found 42 dogs living inside an Indianapolis home with no food or water that were forced to eat the rotting corpses of seven dead dogs in the house.
The floor was covered in feces three inches deep and the furniture was rotting because it had been soaked in so much urine and feces.
“When I did get wind of what was going on with her and where she had been living it broke my heart and it made me want to wine her and dine her for the rest of her life,” Clemons said.
Despite losing a back paw, Zoe survived the deplorable conditions.
Clemons is just thankful little Zoe made it into her home and said she wishes she could have brought more dogs home with her.
The accused hoarder is facing several charges and because of the hazardous conditions in the home there is even an order to now demolish it.
