Florida: Firefighters rescue Chihuahuas from house fire

FLORIDA -- A trailer fire in Pompano Beach claimed the life of a family bird and nearly two small dogs which were saved by firefighters using oxygen masks.

The fire broke out at 1728 SW 9th Drive Tuesday afternoon around 1:00 p.m.

Nobody was home at the time of the fire but firefighters found one Cockatoo bird in a cage and two Chihuahuas.

The bird, unfortunately, was dead in its cage.

The two dogs, a pregnant female named “Princess” and a male named “Borom Bolo” were rescued by firefighters.

“Borom Bolo" was unconscious and in critical condition.

Both dogs were revived with oxygen masks then taken to an animal hospital across the street from the trailer park.
