Victoria man fined $250 for abusing Shih Tzu Tiny, who had to be put down
CANADA -- A Victoria man accused of abusing a small dog has been fined after pleading guilty to failing to provide necessities to an animal.
A provincial court judge in Victoria has fined Douglas Pattison $250 and banned him from owning pets for three years.
Pattison was charged several weeks after a 10-year-old Shih Tzu named Tiny was found in August, emaciated, dehydrated and filthy, wandering on a Victoria street.
RIP Tiny |
Veterinarians tried to treat the little dog for severe skin abscesses and other ailments, but Tiny had to be euthanized three months after being found.
