Caldwell woman charged with animal cruelty

IDAHO -- A 57-year-old Caldwell woman has been charged with nine counts of animal cruelty.

Sabrina Carmack

A total of four horses and six goats were seized from Sabrina Carmack's property last month.

Carmack is currently on probation for possessing too many dogs without a kennel license.

The animals were taken from her property on Old Highway 30 in Caldwell.

They are currently being treated by a licensed veterinarian for malnutrition and other health-related issues. One of the horses had to be put down.

The Canyon County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who has been contacted by Carmack regarding the purchase of animals, to please call the Canyon County Animal Control Office at 454-7531.

Carmack has prior convictions for failure to purchase canine licenses, canines running at large and kennel license violations. In addition, she was charged but not convicted of animal cruelty in Ada County in 2007.
