Delaware mother, Samantha Golt, arrested for sexually assaulting her dog

DELAWARE -- A Delaware couple has been arrested and charged with bestiality after police investigated claims the woman had sex with a dog.

According to police documents, Samantha L. Golt, 24, engaged in sexual intercourse with a canine while her 25-year-old boyfriend James P. Crow, took photographs of the act.

A concerned citizen had notified the Delaware State Police of the alleged animal abuse on December 28.

SAM GOLT

Facebook comments posted by Golt last January reveal that she owned three dogs, pit bulls and pit bull mixes, and was having trouble providing for their basic needs.

“Hello, I’m a proud owner of three dogs. Sadly I’m having a rather difficult time affording dog food right now,” Golt wrote. “I’ve been checking online for pet food banks in Delaware and they are too far away (Wilmington). I live in Milford . So I was wondering if anyone knows of any info that can help me out.”

Police collected photographs of the alleged act during the course of their investigation. They then compared the photos to ones in the Delaware Justice Information System Web Portal and identified Golt.

The Milford couple have been charged with one count each of felony bestiality and felony second-degree conspiracy.

Golt has a four-year-old daughter.

This is the second such case to make headlines in the United States in recent months.

In November, 20-year-old Brittany Angelique Sonnier of Lake Havasu City, Arizona was arrested and charged with having vaginal and oral sex with her family dogs. But in that case, Sonnier’s former boyfriend reported her illicit bestial relationship to police.
