Two Fulton County dogs dead; couple faces cruelty charges

NEW YORK -- A Fulton County couple is facing animal cruelty charges, now that State Police say two dead dogs were found at their home.

[Police initially responded to a domestic dispute call. Katrina Feasel was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, second-degree menacing and second-degree harassment after officers responded to a call where troopers said Feasel allegedly got out a kitchen knife during a verbal altercation with her grandmother and told her "if she did not shut up, she was going to knife her to death"]

Police said they checked on a kennel at a home on Stowell Road in the Town of Oppenheim, and found the two deceased animals.

Katrina A. Feasel, 31, and Matthew VanAllen, 31, were charged.

Police said the dogs may have died from medical conditions caused by being left outdoors in extremely cold temperatures.

A third dog is being treated by a local veterinarian.
