Grandma's loved ones want neighbor's pit bull destroyed following attack

FLORIDA -- Claudia Alles said she was attacked by her neighbor's pit bull in her backyard.

The 74-year-old grandmother said she'll have permanent scars on her face and arms.

This bite, says Claudia, went to the bone

Alles' son-in-law, Miles Early, said the October attack was not the first time their neighbors' dogs have terrorized the neighborhood. Early is most upset that the animal was not labeled a dangerous dog and was instead allowed to come home after a 10-day quarantine at Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control.

Animal services officials said it did not make a classification because of discrepancies in the witness reports about the incident.

[What does it matter whether she was bitten or whether the dog's aggressiveness caused her to back up and fall, causing her injuries? The dog was off its property, the dog threatened her, she was injured as a result.]

The dog, Rambo, has since moved to Oakland Park in Broward County. Still, Early is suing the neighbors for bodily harm and pain and suffering.

Early said he wants the dog destroyed after seeing what Rambo did to his mother-in-law.

"As much as I love dogs, it had to be put down," Early said.
