NEBRASKA -- A 7-year-old Nebraska boy is recovering after being attacked by a neighbor's two Rottweiler dogs, and the dog's owner has been ticketed.
The Nebraska Humane Society's Mark Langan says the boy suffered serious injuries to his head Tuesday.
Langan says the boy was walking in a wooded area near his house in west Omaha when the dogs attacked after going through the invisible fence surrounding their yard.
The boy managed to get away from the dogs. The boy returned home from the hospital on Wednesday.
Langan says the dogs will be euthanized because they both participated in this serious attack. The dogs have been vaccinated but will be checked for rabies.
The dogs' 59-year-old owner cooperated but he was cited for improperly restraining his dogs and two other misdemeanors.
