ARIZONA -- An aggressive dog bit a deputy Wednesday night as the deputy was trying to take the dog from its owner.
Officials with the Patagonia Marshal's Office tell KGUN9 that the owners of a chihuahua wanted to hand the dog over to the Marshal's Office because they thought the dog was too "aggressive."
When the deputy took the dog, the chihuahua bit him several times on his index finger.
The dog did not have his rabies shots, and the Marshal's office is currently awaiting test results to find out if the dog had rabies.
The deputy was sent to the hospital as a precaution, but did not need stitches.
