Woman accused of abusing baby goat

CALIFORNIA -- A baby goat was allegedly swung by its legs, dropped, kicked and had beer poured down its throat by a woman in Vacaville Saturday, according to local police.

Several residents called 911 to report the mistreatment on the 500 block of Elmira Road, said police Sgt. Charlie Spruill.

They took the goat away and chased after the suspect, identified as 23-year-old Lillian Wohn, until officers arrived.

The condition of the goat, believed to have been born within 48 hours of the incident, was not clear. Humane Animal Services took it into care.

Spruill said Wohn, a transient, was booked into Solano County Jail for felony cruelty to an animal and misdemeanor animal poisoning.
