Neighbors called police around 10:30 Saturday night after they said they saw Brian Perry beat his Rottweiler, named Gipper, with his fists while at their home.
Pasco Sheriff's deputies say four-year-old Gipper died from injuries he sustained in the beating.
When deputies questioned Perry, he reportedly admitted to hitting the dog and possibly causing his death.
He also told them he called "friends" to dispose of dog's body but wouldn't tell them where Gipper's remains are located.
RIP Gipper |
Perry only had Gipper about two weeks before his tragic death.
Perry, 47, has been charged with cruelty to animals and obstruction of justice.
