CONNECTICUT -- A rabbit stuck in a soccer net in Stamford was rescued by Stamford Animal Care & Control Shelter Officer Tilford Cobb this week.
Cobb said the rabbit, found entangled in a soccer net behind a home on Houston Terrace, only made its situation worse when the family of the home approached it. Cobb said by the time he arrived, the rabbit was barely breathing.
"I rushed in there with some scissors," Cobb said. "I put a blanket over his head so he wouldn't continue panicking. It was just spinning and spinning, making things worse."
The little rabbit was sent to a wildlife rehabilitation center to recuperate.
