70 year old woman attacked by Staffordshire bull terrier

AUSTRALIA -- A woman aged in her seventies has been attacked by a dog on Sydney's northern beaches.

It is believed she was bitten on the leg by a Staffordshire bull terrier at Bilgola.

Evidence from the Department of Premier and Cabinet released early this year shows that Staffordshire terriers are the breed most commonly involved in attacks.

The woman has been taken to Mona Vale hospital in a stable condition.
