UNITED KINGDOM -- A dog owner says he will never allow it to be destroyed, despite it rampaging through Halstead and attacking a man and his two pets.
Chris Flanagan’s Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Marley, was out on a walk with neighbour Sandra Walker, 57, and her two Staffies on April 20 when it spotted two other dogs in Bridge Street and slipped its collar and charged at them.
The tiny dogs that were attacked, a West Highlands Terrier called Molly and teacup Yorkshire Terrier named Woody, both required veterinary treatment, while owner Glen Pantony was also bitten trying to protect them.
At Colchester Magistrates’ Court last Tuesday, Walker, of Trinity Court, admitted being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control and causing injury in a public place.
She is due to be sentenced on July 16.
