Man injured when 3 dogs attack south of Seattle

A King County sheriff's officer says a 66-year-old man suffered bite wounds all over his body when he was attacked by three dogs early Wednesday in the White Center neighborhood south of Seattle.

KOMO-TV reports the man was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. He was not identified.

The dogs reportedly included a bull mastiff and a pit bull.

Sgt. Patrick McCurdy says the man pulled out his pocket knife and fought back, injuring at least one of the dogs.

Regional Animal Services of King County says one dog was severely injured and was later euthanized.

Animal Services tells The Seattle Times that two witnesses came to the man's aid.

The two surviving dogs are in custody pending the outcome of an investigation.
