Owner of dog who bit woman in Sheboygan found

WISCONSIN -- The Sheboygan Police Department on Friday found the owner of a dog that bit a woman Tuesday night.

Police said they found the owner, who lives along Michigan Avenue in Sheboygan, while canvassing area neighborhoods.

“The Sheboygan Police Department was continuing to investigate and while conducting a neighborhood canvas, we came across the owner of the dog, who admitted that his dog had been the responsible animal,” said Lt. Doug Teunissen.

Teunissen said the woman did not sustain serious injuries.

According to state law the owner of the dog must be contacted and the dog must be quarantined for a period of 10 days, said Teunissen.
