One of those outstanding warrants was for William Charles Harville, 48, 156 Midway Church Road., Mooresburg, who’d been wanted on a failure to appear warrant since failing to show up for his trial Wednesday in Hawkins County Sessions Court for animal cruelty.

William Harville was charged with animal cruelty in March, accused of moving out of a house on Slate Hill Road in Mooresburg, leaving a dog trapped in a bedroom.
The dead dog was discovered in February when the house was sold at public auction. The buyer told the HCSO William Harville had moved out three to four months earlier.
On Tuesday the THP helicopter was flying in Hancock County. HCSO Sgt. Lynn Campbell said the Narcotics Unit had received tipster information about marijuana growing in area of Mooresburg and requested a THP fly-over.
After the THP confirmed the marijuana was there the HCSO went to the area and found 32 plants ranging from three feet to six inches in size.
Campbell said a mowed path led from the marijuana patch directly to the back door of Christy Darlene Chance, 55, 156 Midway Church Road, Mooresburg.
When deputies went to the residence Chance wasn’t home, but they found Harville, and his wife, Christina Marie Harville, 34.
Mrs. Harville was also wanted by police on outstanding warrants for failure to pay child support.
Chance came home while deputies were there. During a search of the home, detectives recovered approximately one ounce of dried marijuana.
Chance allegedly claimed ownership of the dried marijuana as well as the marijuana plants recovered near the residence.
Mr. and Mrs. Harville had only been staying at the residence for about a week.
Chance was charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession of marijuana over a half-ounce, and maintaining a dwelling where narcotics are housed.
As of Wednesday she remained held in the Hawkins County Jail on $50,000, and was next scheduled to appear in court July 8.
William Harville was still in jail Wednesday on $6,500 bond with a court date set for Aug, 19.
Christina Harville was still in jail Wednesday on $900 bond with a court date set for July 19.
