CANADA -- Kara Houweling needed emergency surgery plus 43 stitches to close the wounds the four-year-old suffered in a brutal dog attack on Southend Cres. in Chatham on Thursday.
Her father, Shawn Houweling, says following the incident the family is considering moving. “It’s hard to leave…it just seems that this is Kara’s childhood home,” says Houweling. “It’s hard to tear your child away from her home.”
The preschooler was playing outside with her mother Nicole when the neighbour’s 8-month-old American Bulldog got loose and attacked the child.
She is expected to make a full recovery, the dog remains in quarantine as the OSPCA continues to investigate.

ReplyDeletethe girl is expected to make a full recovery ? yes, she will survive but a full recovery from such an attack seems doubtfull to me . she will probably have physical and emotional scars for life. what price on a life altered forever?
