Pit bull owner cited

MONTANA -- A Helena woman has received nine citations in connection with a pair of pit bulls that were reported to be harassing pedestrians on Saddle Drive on Sept 29.

Megan Elizabeth Tenneson, 20, was cited for two counts each of keeping a nuisance dog, dog at large and no dog license; and one count each of violating dog restraint, dangerous dog licensing and not having a rabies vaccination, according to Helena Police Chief Troy McGee.

Reports came two hours apart about the dogs, one that a jogger was attacked and had to escape in a car, and another that the dog tried to bite a woman and attacked her dog, according to McGee.
