Arkanasas poacher turns himself in

ARKANSAS -- The man accused of trying to run over a wildlife officer in East Arkansas has been arrested.

Levi Wilson, 26, of Marianna, Arkansas turned himself over to police Friday night.

Police across Easter Arkansas were searching for Wilson for a week.

According to the Game and Fish Commission, officials tried to pull him over when he was caught shooting at a decoy deer.

Wardens said he was trying to flee the scene and hit an officer. The officer was unhurt and fired shots at Wilson's vehicle, but didn't hit him.

In addition to hunting-related offenses, Wilson is charged with aggravated assault, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and fleeing an enforcement officer.
