Laurel County Man Arrested For Shooting Dog With Shotgun

KENTUCKY -- A Laurel County man has been arrested after police say he shot and killed a dog with a shotgun.

An arrest warrant says Ronald Reigel, 42, told an officer he shot a pit bull when he saw it come into his yard. He added that his neighbor had been attacked and mauled by a different pit bull two weeks ago.

Officers were told the dog had been playing with a golf ball and had not acted aggressive.

Reigel is in the Laurel County Detention Center charged with second-degree cruelty to animals.

  1. This guy should be given a medal and a cash award for dirt napping a free roaming pit.
