Dog owner facing charge after 11-year-old attacked

OHIO -- An English bulldog attacked an 11-year-old boy inside an apartment in the 200 block of East Main Street in Fairborn, according to Greene County Animal Control.

The police report states that the owner, Dwight Lewis, told officers his dog Isaac bit the boy in the face without being provoked around 7:30 Wednesday night.

An animal control officer tells 2 NEWS that the dog was taken away and it’s being quarantined right now.

The boy was rushed to Dayton Children’s Hospital.

The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time.

An animal control officer says the owner is charged with failure to confine a dog.

Lewis is scheduled to appear in Fairborn Municipal Court next week.
