Officials remove nearly 20 dogs from Omaha home

NEBRASKA -- A woman attacked by a group of poodles leads the Nebraska Humane Society to a home filled with 18 dogs.

With a warrant in hand Tuesday, animal control officers raided the home near 244th and Crown Point.

The woman living there told investigators the dogs are her "children."

On Sunday, the woman's neighbor said five dogs running loose chased her and at least one of them bit her on the leg.

The Humane Society made contact with the dog owner as it investigated the attack.  An animal control officer described conditions inside the dog owner's house as cluttered and filthy.

The Humane Society seized six poodles, three poodle-mix puppies, one American Eskimo-type dog and seven puppies, plus a black Lab.
