LOUISIANA -- A four-year-old girl and two women were bit by a pit bull in Waggaman.
Jefferson Parish sheriff's spokesman Col. John Fortunato says the girl suffered a broken arm in Wednesday's attack while a woman was bit on her leg and the other on the arm.
WWL-TV reports witnesses told investigators the child opened a door to a room where the dog was located with her puppies.
The dog then came into the room with the women and girl and attacked. One of the women picked up the child and the dog latched onto the girl's arm, breaking it.
All three victims were transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Jefferson Parish Animal Control took possession of the dog and her puppies.
