New Details About the Woman Bitten By a Dog Just Hours After Federal Agents Raid Home

NEBRASKA -- We're learning new information about what led to a woman being attacked by a pit bull just hours after federal agents raided a West Omaha home that belongs to Gilbert Navarro of Navarro Construction.

A family member of Christina and Gilbert Navarro told KMTV Action 3 News that the woman attacked by the Navarro’s pit bull on Wednesday was actually the mother of Gilbert Navarro’s wife, Christina Navarro.

Around 7 o’clock Wednesday morning multiple agencies including the FBI and DEA had Christina and Gilbert Navarro’s home on the corner of Heavenly Dr. and Davenport St. surrounded.

After almost four hours, Christina Navarro was led out of the home in handcuffs.  Shortly after authorities left the scene.

A family member of the Navarro’s says that Linda Stanger, Christina's mom,  went back into the house to let the Navarro’s pit bull mix out; that's when the dog attacked her.

The family member says that the dog went after Stanger’s leg and is still in the hospital.

As for the Navarro’s, police booked Gilbert Navarro Wednesday for cocaine possession and his wife Christina for possession of a controlled substance.  Federal agents also seized boxes of documents from the home.

Right now we're still waiting to see if federal charges will be brought against the Navarro’s.
