PENNSYLVANIA -- Animal control officers rescued more than a dozen dogs from the cab of a tractor-trailer in South Philadelphia.
It happened Saturday afternoon at Front Street and Oregon Avenue.
Officers stopped the truck after a domestic incident between a couple. That's when the animals were found.
Authorities say 17 dogs, most of which appear to be pit bulls, were seized.
The couple was taken in for questioning. No word on whether charges, if any, will be filed.
The animal are now in the care of animal control.
