Man arrested for throwing puppy out of moving car

TEXAS -- A man was arrested after he allegedly threw a puppy out of a moving car during an argument with his girlfriend.

Marqael Greer, 32, was arguing with his girlfriend while he drove down a highway just outside of Dallas, the Dallas Morning News reported.

The argument escalated, and Greer snatched the 6-week-old Chihuahua puppy off the woman’s lap and tossed it out the window. The puppy was later found dead on the side of the road.

The woman also claims Greer, who has a record for burglary and evading arrest, assaulted her during the argument.

Greer has been charged with animal cruelty and was released on bail.
