UNITED KINGDOM -- Police are trying to identify the owner of two dogs who attacked a spaniel in Pondfield Park.
The spaniel, named Bella, was being walked by her 14-year-old owner in the basketball court on the evening of Tuesday, July 15.
Two dogs ran over and began to bite Bella, and when her owner picked her up to protect her he was also bitten on the forearm and finger.
The teenager required hospital treatment including a tetanus injection, while Bella required surgery and further treatment that will cost hundreds of pounds in veterinary bills.
The woman who was in charge of the two suspect animals is described as a blonde female who is around 30 years old, and police believe she may live locally.
One of the dogs is black and above knee height and the other is a smaller brown and white dog that may be a Staffordshire bull terrier.
If you can identify the owner, contact Sgt Ian Lee on 020 8217 7951 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
